I will be flying into LA June 17 and intend to be in the mountains from the 18th till the 23rd. I would like to do at least two or three summits, preferably in different sections of the eastern sierra. Nothing serious or pretentious just class two or three and super scenic. (which is everywhere)

-Feather Peak (Royce lakes region)
-Tyndall
-Matterhorn
-ETC.......

I have hiked and climbed around the Palisades, and i've been up Whitney three times. soi would like to visit those areas again later.

What about in the Rock Creek area? Mount Dade's Hourglass Couloir might be nice in June - it was last June. Then there's Abbot....etc. in the same area.

If you've only got 5 days don't spend them driving around. Head in somewhere and make a small loop. Go in over Kearsarge pass, climb East Vidette or Deerhorn Peak, head south to Center Basin and climb Keith or Bradley, or Center or University, or Junction Peaks. Or all of them. Endless possibilities.

A nice day-hike in the southern area is Lone Pine Peak; use the Meysan Creek trail to access its west-side class 2 scramble route. The summit is slightly 'off-center' from he main Sierra Nevada crest so you get fantastic views of the Owens Valley, Inyo Mtns, and the Southern Sierra Nevada crest. If you wanted to stay at Meysan Lake 1-2 days you could also do Mts Irvine, Mallory, or LeConte.
