Very sad news and my condolences to their family and friends. My wife and I were in the gorge May 9th and it was hot then. The climbers we met talked about skinning to the climbs with their shirts off.

Looks like the were on or near "Freezy Nuts". A climb on my "tick list".

<cringe> I was in a restaurant here in South Jordan, Utah, on a business trip when I read this news in the USA Today I received upon checkin at my hotel. It sent a shiver up my spine.

Wishing peace to the surviving family, friends & loved ones.

Met Avner on a Rainier attempt and a little rock climbing in the park while he was visiting Washington. Sorry to hear about this.
