Kindasortamaybe PNW partner ca. July 17-Aug 1?

Kind of a strange request, but I'll be in Seattle during this time to climb Liberty Ridge and drive over to climb Mt Robson - conditions allowing.

The problem is my climbing partner for these adventures would be making other use of her time in Seattle or B.C. if conditions are not good for either climb. Instead of wallowing away in Seattle it would be nice to still get out on something less serious with some other SPers!

Probably the best thing is for me to tag along on someone else's trip if they don't mind me coming along. Any takers?

Peaks of particular interest are:

Mt Baker
Mt Adams
Glacier Pk
Mt St Helens
Mt Hood (on a technical route, NOT the trade route)
Mt Garabaldi

Though my interests are by no means limited to these. Even some cragging could be nice.

PM me or email me when you're here. Are you gonna have a car with you?

edit: derp. just read that you'll be driving over to Robson so I guess you'll have a car. Yeah, hit me up when your plans firm up.

actually I won't have a car. My partner in Seattle has the car, so if our trips won't work out, I'll be car-less. I'm happy to rent though, and if I don't hook up with anyone, I might just do that and do some careful soloing (e.g. St. Helens).

Right now I am looking at a number of dayclimbs and hikes. I will PM my friends up here and maybe get you in on some good trips if anything is brewing. I am looking at North Ingalls as a goal peak during at time. I usually go out every week so I will keep you in the loop about possible trips I have brewing.

I would solo the Ptarmigan Traverse and bag as many peaks as possible on the way. Your friend just has to get you to the trailhead at Cascade Pass. That'll be like 7 days.

Nevermind.

My partner decided to ditch me for the chance to do Liberty Ridge this weekend with a partner who is available now instead of waiting until next weekend for when my flight is scheduled. Needless to say, this killed my desire to climb Mt. Robson with her, so I'll be saving my visit to the area for when I'm partnered up with someone who's reliable or for when I have a better plan thought out to make use of my time there.

Although if any of you are interested in the peaks listed, perhaps we can meet up for a climb sometime?

Cheers.

Haha was her name Anastasia? I just got flaked on by a woman as well, though she was heading to do the Kautz. Man, pay to come up this weekend! I'd bag those peaks with ya

I'm not one to be strict about doing route X only with partner Y, there are just too many variables to hold that fixed in most cases. But when somebody booked a flight to do something then that should be respected. That is a raw deal man!

Best of luck,

No. It was Steph Abegg. We'd been planning to do the route since February and have been adjusting our plans since April. She was on board enough that when other partners dropped out, I didn't bother trying to find other partners, as I saw that she was not going to drop out and figured she was a solid bet.

I can't get up this weekend, but if someone is up for Liberty Ridge next weekend (I fly in Friday, July 16, and out Sunday, July 25) I might still head up, since I haven't cancelled my reservations yet. Let me know ASAP.
