Anyone going to be in New Zealand between Jan-March? Looking for partners to climb Aoraki (Cook). Now my time is flexible, I'm looking to make more solid plans within the next couple weeks.

Yeah a friend and I will be there the a couple of weeks early Jan. Due to my friends lack of alpine climbing experience (he has done rock all his life) we weren't going to climb Cook itself. We were thinking Sefton, Malte Brun, and maybe Aspiring. I've never thrown away the climbing Cook idea though.

My trip is set from Dec 24-Jan 9. Starting from KL, I fly in via Melbourne to Christchurch.

Mattski - I'll read up some more on South Face. It sounds pretty good.

I am going on Nov 20th with a guide. Not sure which route yet.
