I don't get why you want to delete everything. I thought you were "a good contributing member of this site"?

Replied to your PM with the answer to your question.

They stay on pages forever until the page owner changes the code, they get deleted from rackspacecloud storage automatically now, and I know of no way to delete them quickly.

This is my understanding.

Mrachd9, please send me that info as well, you answer here is not totally clear to me. I have the similar issue as Tazz, and I stopped posting anything here because of worries of not being able to delete my stuff.

I am pretty sure that now deleted images will be gone from page displays, too. It has occurred on a couple of my pages; pictures that used to still show with the text but say "Deleted" if you clicked on them are now gone.

I am not guaranteeing it works that way; but it seems to be so.

Ski Mountaineer- What I sent is in the quote below.

According to Bob, the part I put in italics is incorrect. That actually when you delete a photo, it disappears EVERYWHERE. I am running a test now to confirm. On my construction page, there are 8 images and 5 links to a deleted photo- set up in various ways (in the first section, above the Van Gogh pic). Can confirm they do not disappear immediately, they are there as I write this, but I believe over a period of 12-48 hours it will work its way through the caches and some or all may disappear. Check the page later to see if they vanish, or I will post here later with the results.

EDIT: Test confirmed that deleted photos get deleted EVERYWHERE. No issues.
my understanding is, with the recent transformation that Matt has made it
so that when you delete a photo, it now disappears from the rackspacecloud
storage. It didn't get deleted there until he made the recent change. so
any photos would no longer appear in forum links, users will NOT be able to
get to originals, etc...

but they still remain on the mountain/route main pages if in the html
code, or in the profile image, even after deleting.

i know of no way to delete photos in a less than very tedious manner.

It doesn't take that long though, at least sometimes. All the images gone on my test page within 3 hours.

Sounds like she didn't
Take time to review SummitPost's Terms of Service.

But Tazz, this is a lot of drama for someone with 4 mountains (3 of which haven't been updated or maintained since 2006), and a few dozen highly-rated pictures. What are the chances anybody is using any of that stuff? Anyway, the sooner you delete it, the lower the chances anybody will rip it off from here--they'll have to go to your self-aggrandizing website to get it.

You've been on the ledge for a week. Time to come inside or jump off.

Sorry, no time to read your posts, boys. Been really busy trying to find an attorney dumb enough to take an Internet-name-calling case to court. . . .

I'd like to remind of this:
1. What happens here stays here. Do not complain to the Elves. Do not complain in other forums on this website or take your arguments there or into the content area of the site (nasty comments, downvoting).

I respected the people on this thread a lot better before I saw the kind of filth they are vomiting up on this "virtual campfire P&P" site. I don't blame Tazz for being upset at all. Wouldn't be the first time somebody left the playing field because their name is being dragged through the mud.

You guys keep up your self-righteous crowing, playing the victim over here, mashing up rude talk about decent people with porn over on your other site. You guys will end up with quite a scheme going. Don't like somebody? Trash their reputation over on another site they might not even know about. Pretty soon, along with a little unwitting help from site admin (who are sick to death of dealing with conflict and decided to cover their ears and eyes), you'll be the heavies around here.

No I don't have all the facts. But the little bit I've seen is disgusting.

Laughing out loud at Lolli!

You complained to the elves about me just eight days ago!

And btw, those other threads started HERE, not in off-route, so that 'What happens here stays here' part doesn't really make sense.
