Ian Woodall

Next Thursday the 21st at the Bloomington REI you can see one of the seemingly most hated men in Mountaineering. It's free. He is on his Tao of Everest speaking tour. As an added bonus, REI is sneaking John Krakauer into the audience. Should be a great time

I work in Bloomington so I think I'm going to stop by and will be killing the hour or so before over a couple of tasties if anyone is interested.

Would love to hear how it goes! He's speaking here (in Vancouver) in November at an industry association event. Should be interesting!!!!

Just looked at the REI site, says it's cancelled.

Ya. Got an email yesterday that said there was an emergency and he had to go back to Europe. They were offering an electronic version of his slideshow/speach.

Krakauer in the audience would've been entertaining indeed...

After reading Into thin Air

I'm sure Krakauer and Woodall would both tell very different stories ::wink::
