As more clouds begin to part directly in front of my yard less than two minutes ago. The Aspens are Hilton Creek drainage and that completely white (snow) area breaking through the clouds directly behind it, begins at the 8900' level btw...

Just walked the dog from Onion Valley up to Gilbert Lake (10,400') and back. About two inches of snow on the ground and light snow falling at Gilbert with Onion Valley snow free. Some rock fall on the road but passable. Still plenty of nice color up there when the clouds part.

Be careful out there.

And these "dustings" are very typical for this time of the year. But, and a bigass but, stand the fk by next weekend.
The MJO has situated itself in a prime location east of Hawaii. Looks like the beginning of some substantial trofs. Take a look at the GFS
