*still* lots of color at Rumney, I'll be adding a few photos. Also added a couple from Quincy Quarries last week, and I attached several by Brian Jenkins taken on Cannon, Mt Hale, and Mt Osceola.

the album sorted by creation date

Was at Mohegan Sun in CT for a bachelor party, drove around a lot of the back roads today on the way back. All of Connecticut is in spectacular shape right now, every shade and hue of yellow, red, pink leaves are all on display.

I spent the weekend wandering around NJ and PA. There's is some great color out there now. It takes longer for us down here to reach peak color. I'll post some pictures when I have some time.

The album now includes some very good shots from New Jersey (TLP) and the Adirondacks (rasgoat), plus a couple more of my Rumney photos.

Can those of us in the Midwest play? I was in Tennessee* this weekend and got mostly yellows and rusts:

More coming in a bit.

*Yes, I just put Tennessee in the Midwest. Once you give me Kentucky, it's not hard to do.

I added a couple more photos. Here in Boston we are slightly past peak, but there are some good bronze tones (oak, beech) and drifting leaves.

The album is up to 67 photos, which is much better than last year.

There's still color left in NJ. It's past peak, but I've seen some good color the past couple of days. I think I'll go back out there tomorrow. I need to post more, but I'll get around to it. Eventually.

Interesting thing... Poison Ivy changes color too. Be safe out there.

Hey TLP, you know that's not poison ivy in your photo, right? Looks like blueberry or one of its many close relatives. Poison ivy does change color, and it can be pretty spectacular:

Poison ivy is almost the only plant with three-leaflet clusters sharing a leaf stem.

Yeah well I'm no expert. I thought it was. I was in a State Park in NJ, and they actually had a little sign by this one area warning people of red poison ivy, which I thought was kinda odd. Somebody maybe got some. This was a lowlands park that gets a lot of people, you're not going to get a warning off in the hills, or woods. There is lot of red foliage in this area too, on ground level.

Yeah there's a lot of the red stuff around me this time of year. Its tricky sometimes because your use to seeing it in a dark green. I just can't wait till its all dead so I can bushwhack with no worries! Ohh how I love the winter season!
