Total Bummer!

We exchanged many a PM's regarding gear, techniques and partner relationships.

He will be missed by this dude.

My condolences to all that were blessed by his presence.

May his powerful spirit be blessed in his next life.

This is very sad news indeed. His contributions on these forums were so insightful. Chris will be missed.

We would like to memorialize his page and are requesting input from SP members who knew him. While we would do our best to honor his memory, a more personal touch might be better.

Anyone who wishes to help with this, please use "Send PM to the Elves."

Thank you.

To All:

This is very short notice but since Chris' parents are here in Colorado at the moment, the memorial/funeral service is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in Centennial, Co.
Because this is such short notice and Thanksgiving is only 2 days away, we realize many folks prolly won't be able to make it.
But for those who can, the particulars are as follows:

Please join us tomorrow in a celebration of the life of Christian William Pruchnic:

Wednesday, November 24th
2:00-5:00 PM

Horan & McConaty
5303 E. County Line Rd.
Centennial, CO 80122

I will be out until late tonight, so I won't be able to respond to any e-mails or PM's until after midnight.
But, please feel free to call me with any questions.

Bob,
That's a great idea. I"ll talk to Barry (rafterdude) and Jon (rkymtn) about contributing something.

Martha,
I'll call you later tonight.

Thanks Kiefer, unfortunately I won't be able to attend as I have to be at work in Vail until 5. I actually met Chris' dad and brother on Rainier 4 years ago, not sure if they remember me or not, but give them my condolences.

Here's my idea, all: We will memorialize his page by noting the loss but will add short tributes from friends as well. So if you'd like to make such a tribute, please send it to the elves. Please understand that if there is a high response, as may be the case, we may have to edit tributes for length due to space concerns.

Anyone who has a great deal to say may want to consider writing an article; that has been done before on SP. It might be good to contact the family first, if possible, before doing that in case they would not want that.

This may be a work in progress, and with the holiday almost here, it may take several days, but we will strive to have something up by the end of this upcoming weekend.

Thank you, everyone, and my condolences to the deceased's family and friends.

Sorry to hear this. I didn't really know him, just saw that whenever anyone posted a question about something he could offer info on, he would do so. In this world there are givers and there are takers; he was a giver. My condolences to all who will be missing him.

Although I never met him, I can say that Chris was a great person: caring and sharing.

On several occasions, both on here and through email, he offered extensive conversation on routes and gear. And was thoughtful enough to follow up when he expected that I had returned. And that, to someone he had never met.

My condolences to his family.

I also did not know the man but we shared the same passion for South America climbing and talked several times here. My condolences to his family and friends. He'll be missed...............
