Pain in the bottom

by Charles » Sat Dec 04, 2010 10:35 am

Here in Germany it´s snowed like bloody hell - my chums are all off ski-mountaineering, and me?
I´m stuck at home on crutches after an Achilles op. I´m looking at snow and cursing it because I can´t hop around in it. The winter´s finished for me, I´ll not be moving halfway normally for about 12 weeks - like I wrote a pain in the bottom!

Ah well, Charles. Break out a nice single malt and supervise while others decorate the Christmas tree. There's nothing quite like waving yer crutches whilst yer giving orders.

Hang in there, Charles. You have many more winters ahead of you.

Excuse me, but is a "pain in the bottom" anything like a pain in the ass ???

Wasn´t there a song with the village cripple doing obscene things with his crutches?

Yes. I'm very sorry to hear this at the beginning of ski season. I remember you'd done this climbing. Is it rude to ask about particulars?

Crutches sure do suck.....

Go kill the pain, it's best, time will pass.

Heal up

Sorry to hear about your injury, Charles.
Time to read some good books and lay in for the winter! Think about next summer!
And, maybe you can recover in time for some spring/summer ski mountaineering trips. .
Best o' luck on your recovery.
