Montezuma's Head (Organ Pipes NM) Closed

by WingLady » Tue Dec 07, 2010 3:11 am

Just heard from Wingman that no one is allowed to climb Montezuma's Head at this time. No word on if and when access may be permitted again.

Aaaa...

Perhaps Montezuma doesn't like people climbing on his head ???

WHAT is the reason for the closure ???

Montezuma's Head & Diaz Peak areas are no longer in restricted areas per Organ Pipes website. I contacted them and they have confirmed this. So, get out there and climb them before that changes!

Thanks ... you kept me in suspense on that one. Had to wait approximately four years for your answer.
