True statement! I love women. I have a wife who's definitely a woman ...

..but, I always WONDERED why women are so against putting down their correct age on this site.
Most of them are either "1-year olds" or "93-year olds." Amazing, but I'm definitely confused..

Can somebody PLEASE set me straight ???

I think Moni would be a very good elf, but suspect she is far too smart to accept.

Anita would make a great elf. She climbs. She's from Canada. She's here a lot of the time.

Daria and I both went to UCLA, decades apart.

Tough school to get into...the Dean of Admissions thought Daria was smart.

Is a serious post allowed here?

Over the past few days, there has been a discussion about members who would make good elves. Coloring this discussion has been the idea of who could help best in areas of perceived need and also who would want the job; several members who would make great elves have also made it clear that they wouldn't want to.

Some invites have already gone out. Some are yet to. Some decisions (by the invited) have been made, and some haven't. Some of the people considered are female members.

Now, I worry that any female member invited to be an elf who has seen this thread will feel like window dressing if she accepts. I hope not.

What Does Window Dressing Mean?

A strategy used by mutual fund and portfolio managers near the year or quarter end to improve the appearance of the portfolio/fund performance before presenting it to clients or shareholders. To window dress, the fund manager will sell stocks with large losses and purchase high flying stocks near the end of the quarter. These securities are then reported as part of the fund's holdings ...

I hope not. I hope she'll take it as she's needed, a heavy (time-consuming effort) partaking of making this site the best ever.

I meant that I have never seen Vid partaking in the forum clashes. He works quietly in the background.

I was going to write that I apologise.

Yes, it was too strong, but the posts are gone.
Anyway, those who read them, knows what I mean.
