What happened was that during the transition to SPv2, a bunch existing "mountain" pages were converted to ranges. Their climber's logs were preserved. There wasn't a standard link to them from the left margin, but it wasn't hard to figure out a URL that would work. You could actually add a climbers log to most kinds of objects that way (but not a profile page last I checked).
