Planning to snow climb Mt. Eddy (near Mount Shasta) in about two weeks. I see that Deadfall Lakes is the standard route to the summit but I imagine you can't drive to the trailhead now because of snow on Forest Service Road 42N17. Any other route suggestions? Has anyone done the NE Ridge from Black Bear Loop?
