Kings Peak Snow Levels

by mfox79 » Fri Aug 05, 2011 12:15 am

Has anyone here been up Gilbert or Kings Peak yet this year? I am planning a trip up there next week and with how much snow there has been in the high country this year I was not sure If I should bring an ice axe and crampons. maybe even ski touring gear  any info would be great. Thanks,

Hope this isn't too late- You will be fine. No axe or cramps needed. You will however need plenty of deet to deal with the bugs.

I did Kings, S. Kings and Gilbert 2 weeks ago from Henry's Fork TH and snow was not an issue.
