Thanks for giving us your POV on the issue.

I'll say again I joined after many of these mentioned problems on SP so I wasn't exposed to them. I respect your decision to move on and I am grateful for all your hard work in the past.

Bubba Seuss: Aaron, I have long appreciated your efforts on behalf of SP and the reasonable way you dealt with the issues confronted by the site. I am saddened to see you backing away from the site and the community. It is a great loss to SummitPost. If you continue to reduce your presence to just a kernal of what it was, I hope you would consider continuing to post on access and fee issues. It was your efforts that made me aware of the WSNFC. Good climbing!
Thank you for your nice compliment. It's good to hear my efforts do have an impact at SP. As I come across situations worthy of reporting, rest assuredly I will do just that!

mrchad9: I don't happen to read all the articles submitted, but thought the writeup on The Wave that Aaron did was outstanding. Probably helped by my complete agreement with his postion. And yes, the articles of the history of SP were terriffic. Sad to see them go, but understand his postion.

Somehow I doubt my perspective is that important, but thanks just the same. I had a fabulous season this year!

Alpinist: I echo everyone else's comments. In many respects, Aaron was the heart and soul of SP. I appreciate the countless hours/days/weeks/months/years you spent managing the site, Aaron.
You are too kind. I doubt I deserve such a compliment. I was also plenty of trouble to many members who would count me as an enemy all those hours/days/weeks/months/years I spent managing the site. I know they're glad I'm gone!

mrh: Nice to hear from you Aaron. I always thought you were the level voice of reason and common sense and if SP had been more in line with your philosophy it would be a better place today. imo Grace us with your presence a little more often.

Thank you, Matt. Some would say you missed a colorful and perhaps the most creative and formative time of SP. I count myself blessed to have been involved in it at the level I was. Others would say it's much better now. It's a subjective thing, but I think we all agree SP is still a valuable resource. Even though the founding "fuddy-duddies" like me are gone, I've learned on the internet there's always someone to take your place and I have a hunch you're one of them. Keep up the good work! Thanks for your kind comment.

I've been here 8 years and have had my share of political debates in P&P. It's not difficult to avoid trouble. Members who found it were usually looking for it. I think you did a great job as moderator. I would have left long ago had the forums become completely unmoderated.

Most curious is that in the dream-time of SP, Quandary Peak while being currently 91.5% good on SP was in the former days 104% good or some such thing. It was not alone but it predated most other SP mtns.

"Paul Klenke" has also been a "historic magnet" here on SP. But, I could never understand what he was doing out in this field.

Hmm looks HP related. Perhaps they were out in the field celebrating the destruction of an HP office machine as portrayed in the film Office Space.
