Anything out of the ordinary happen this year fellow climbers? I remember a number of years back, some falling boulders off the father & sons face. That was quite rare.

When we were taking some butter from some guys that were getting off the mountain the said they did Cassin Ridge. We asked how long did it take (base to top of route) and they said 14 hours 40 mins. Turned out that's the new record for the route (without going to the summit). That was interesting.

Saw some guy slip and take a nice fall, caught by the fixed line (on section from 17 to 16K). Although day before on the way down he was unroped on the section from 18 to 17K (where several people died this year). Could of been another fatality if he didn't clip in.

I was able to do 1000ft (from 17 to 18K) of my summit day in a light baselayer and patagonia R1 type hoody lol. Although I got pretty cold and had to put on m down jacket after that.

I saw a hot blonde guide up there.

No team has done full west rib this year. Only guy who made it through Valley of Death was hiking out after doing an amazing first ski descent..walked out solo. Sick human.
