How 'bout ice fishing ??? Catching and eating fish is good for the mind and body.

Michigan gets lots of lake effect snow. But you have to go to either the western lower peninsula (long walk from Detroit), or the western upper peninsula (VERY long walk from Detroit.) IMO, the UP is better cause there's lots more elbow room.
