Another great page in Joshua Tree up today from Marcsoltan. But where's the plug for the Thai buffet???

Horror Rocks:

And Noondueler put up San Pablo Ridge (Bay Area). A great daytrip, especially while the hills are green.

Two SP members have put up their first mountain pages ever:

Greg Enright with Mammoth Crest

The Mammoth Crest page could use a little more info, and a few photos. I'm not sure I would do the trip based on the info on this page alone. A map would go a long way.

iditarod81's first page is Double Peak near San Diego.

The Double Peak page actually has a lot of good information there. But it too could use a few more photos. That and splitting some of the info in the overview section into different parts would spiff the page up a bit and draw more attention. I like that she has included comments on the native plants in the area.

I'm not sure why this hasn't been utlized recently but I'll throw these, not so new and new pages out there. Chad, Marc, Noondueler, Moapa and BubbaSuess always do a nice job. Not taking anything away from others, I just have tended to check their pages out. There have been too many to post all of them. Here are a few and I suggest checking out and take a look at the California Mountain pages- a lot of good stuff. Good work to all of ya'

I created a page for Low Profile Dome in Tuolumne Meadows:
http://www.summitpost.org/low-profile-dome/731353

As well as the route on Low Profile Dome, Golfer's Route (5.7)

Please advise if there is anything that needs correcting/modification, and feel free to add your own photos! Enjoy!

Here is a small Class 2 boulder scramble peak right next to Mount Lassen. I am just waiting now for my friend Josh Lewis to put up some of his awesome photos.

I recently posted a page for the Trinity Divide in the Klamath Mountains, near Mount Shasta.

I almost visited the Grey Rocks this weekend. At least I can say that I admired the views of Northern California from atop Bully Choop on Friday. Thanks for another thorough page.

Well this thread seems pretty dead lately, but there have been a few new pages going up.

Also some work on existing pages. A few folks have been kind enough to let me fix up some existing mountain pages, and quite a bit of work has been done on them. I've completed what I wanted to do with pages Rinat and pilz8 allowed me to work on, and my thanks to them for enabling it.

Seven Gables, in John Muir Wilderness (it has a nice summit block and is worth a visit, probably next year)

And Cloudripper, between South Lake and Glacier Lodge. Great views and still accessible if you are on the east side.

Hey Sean, why don't you do a page for Bully Choop? It's one of the most prominent peaks in California so the info would be used. If decide to go for it and you need any help with the page building tools, formatting/html I could assist in that department. I also have a couple of pictures of that mountain from neighboring peaks I could attach (though none from the mountain itself since I haven't been to the top). Just a suggestion.

Anyway, I've been doing quite a few pages and revisions lately.

First Mount Lowe, not a particularly remarkable peak, but scenic compared to much of the surrounding area.

Second, I recently rebuilt the Redwoods National & State Parks page. The previous owner never got it past theUnder Construction phase. The finished page is not exactly exhaustive, more like a brief overview and some recommendations, a place to get people pointed in the right direction at least.

Third, I rebuilt the Preston Peak page. A truly spectacular peak, and I put a lot of work into the page in an attempt to express that. Highly recommended!

Ha! You read my mind. When I got back to home, south of the bay, I found that there is an SP page already started for Bully Choop by Dennis Poulin. I thought about PM'ing him to see what I might be able to do to help. Looks like the first thing the page needs is the detailed road information (I've got a map with road names, but not the precise mileage that would help prevent anyone from getting lost). Then the page could use links to area info., government agencies, and camping (the National Forest, Whiskeytown NRA, Redding, historical information, etc.) My buddy has a book with historical mining info. about the area that I could use to aid in some research and I recall coming across etymolgy information on the web. I've got some pics from the top, and Dennis posted some pics too, but a description of the many views to expect and pics of snowcapped Norcal from the spring or early summer would be much more impressive.

Truth be told though, I'm on my last day of procrastination before I dive into a thesis. Also, I've got two kids not of school age yet and a wife who works 60 hours a week. I may stay away from SP for awhile other than an occasional check-in for beta and to see if there is anything I can quickly help others with. There is a lot of talk lately about making pages easier to build and making collaboration easier. I'd like to help and I don't care a bit about the point system, but I do need to care about how much time I spend on here right now (I say this after getting lost in the forums this week for the second time this year). I've got a few relatively obscure peaks and trails I could help make pages for around where I live if they will be valued and if the process is easy, but it probably needs to wait until late 2012.

Thanks for your suggetion and especially for your work. I've been wanting to make it up to Preston Peak, but making it back to Bully Choop, if necessary, to obtain milage info. and better pics is more likely.

I could be wrong, but I think that he actually just made an album, not an actual page for Bully Choop.

Indeed. I read right over "(album)". Now it all makes sense. Thanks!

Anyway, if anyone gets to making the page before me, let me know if any of what I described would help get it done. It should have a page; you can clearly see many of the prominent peaks of Northern California from there.

I have thought about making a page for Bully Choop, having been up it back when I was doing my undergrad at Chico. I generally don't do pages unless I have good pictures to support and my trip up was long before I picked up a camera. I would need to make another trip, and I already have a large docket of things I want to add to SP. It does deserve a page though. It is the highpoint of what I sometimes refer to as the Cottonwood Mountains (because it feeds the North and Middle Forks of Cottonwood Creek).

Sean, what degree are you shooting for and what are you doing a thesis on?

Thanks for the Cottonwood concept. I had already forgotten that detail. I had finally noticed while studying the map to get up there that it is indeed the origin of the creek I have crossed hundreds of times. I've got decent early autumn pictures that could be used along with the existing album, but like I mentioned, would want to return in better photo conditions after the roads are passable to see the views and to get photos with snow on the surrounding peaks. Its more of a drive than a hike, but I'd be willing to do it if nobody else out there already has what I'm looking for (I have a friend whose uncle just bought property near where Bully Choop Road starts and who is currently obssessed with geology/mining who might want to go up there with me again).

I left a Master's in Educational Administration hanging with just the thesis left to do when life got too busy. I may go in other directions afterward, but really ought to finish it and am supposed to start now. I'll most likely be researching Asperger's Syndrome, possibly with a connection to the role of public edcucation in supporting students in developing character traits that make them likely to be successful people. Thanks for asking.

Maybe I'll go ahead and at least post the pictures and road information I do have.
