Vacation suggestions

by WouterB » Sun Jul 01, 2012 6:30 pm

For the first time ever, I have no idea as to where I should spend my vacation. Well, I have some ideas, but none gets me as thrilled to go as I used to be in the past. I made some "expedition" plans, but they all fell through and now I'm having a hard time finding the motivation to go anywhere. Having said that, work has been quite hectic, so I really feel like I need some time away. I thought I'd come here and ask for some suggestions.

I've got about 3 weeks, and would like to do some mountaineering and some relaxing in a laid back place with some decent weather and good food. Although budget isn't that big of a constraint, I prefer it when I can just eat/drink/enjoy without worrying too much about the cost of it all. Thanks.

The States! It's summer now. The idea of leaving Switzerland is crazy but hey we have it all here also.

When will this vacation start? Suggestions will vary depending on time of year.

Surely you jest - ? Corsica is waiting! Mountains-beach-mountains-scuba-mountains-maquis-mountains- you get the idea. How can that piece of paradise ever grow old?
