The skeeters are pretty thin here in NE Indiana as well. I've noticed a significant decrease in bat activity this year. Normally I have a pretty healthy population of bats flying around in my backyard every night at dusk during the summers. This year I have never seen more than one a night. I gotta believe it's due to the the drought and lack of skeeters.

I sure wish we would get some rain (without the accompanying straight line winds and thunderstorms!!!). The chances of a really bad corn crop for the state of Indiana is getting high. Last I heard was an expected 20% reduction in the crop estimate. The sky ain't been crying...but I sure wish it would!
