Hello, I plan to trek to K2 this summer visiting many of the basecamps along the route before crossing the LA. Does anyone have any experience with Vertical Explorers. They present well bu there's nothing better than a personal reccomendation. Any advice or info appreciated

I havent heard of that company. The operator we used were ATP. There was also Nazir Sabir and Laila Peak groups around this year. It's such an amazing trek. I hope you have a wonderful time. Take plenty of memory cards if you are a photographer.

I suggest you to contact all the above recommended agencies and also try this one as well www.snowland.com.pk . You would have more choices of service, price and departures dates.

Yes, I did K2/G La with VE in August.http://www.vepakistan.com Fantastic company and what a fascinating country. The people, the history, the food, the architecture and of course the ability to step back in time and witness valleys untouched by western consumerism is something to experience first hand. Will definitely use them again.I thought they just planned better and appeared to be good employers. Our cook, sirdar and guide had been with the company for many years.
The staff on the ground in Islamabad & Skardu were also great. Even after our tour ended, we were in Pakistan for a further 5 days and they still sorted things out for us.
Also quite a few of our fellow trekkers had used VE on other occasions.
Cannot rate them any higher!
