I'm planning on heading up to Whitney the day after Christmas. Does anyone have current beta on where the road is closed, and what the mountaineers route is like? I'm still looking for a partner too! Thanks for any info you can share, and email me if you are interested I'm going.

We day hiked the main trail eight days ago. The road was open and dry. The trail was partially packed by other hikers. We posted a TR with a link to photos on both WPS and WZ websites. Conditions may change a lot by December 26.
