ZZ Top Again:
Jesus just left Chicago and he's bound for New Orleans. (two not so obscure places)
Well now, Jesus just left Chicago and he's bound for New Orleans.
Yeah, yeah.
Workin' from one end to the other and all points in between. (All points in between, that's gotta include some obscure places!)

Probably obscure to those not familiar with the SF Bay Area- the south bay in particular. At the time, this song seemed to be written especially for those of us who roamed those hill south of San Jose (the city where the Doobies originated, BTW).

Doobie Brothers "Neil's Fandango" (1975):

"Well, a travelin' man's affliction makes it hard to settle down
But I'm stuck here in the flatlands while my heart is homeward bound

Goin' back, I'm too tired to roam, Loma Prieta my mountain home
On the hills above Santa Cruz to the place where I spent my youth..."

Here's one about the Torres Straits and the Coral Sea: Trochus Boats. Beautiful song, wish it were on Youtube for the listening.
