This thread is actually inspired by my brother. When he clicked the quality slipping thread he thought it was going to be about glissading rather than page quality slipping. So then I thought, why not have a thread dedicated to glissading. Normally I don't title threads with exclamation marks, but this is a fun activity and I wanted to prevent confusion from the other thread.

Riding a big, shallow wet slide into the Meadows was a fun way to greet the guided party in the distance.

My favorite glissading story....

Years ago my brother and I were trying to descend the Bugaboo-Snowpatch Col.

I guess it's a tough place and a lot of parties rappell down past the bergschrund. When we got to the col, there was long line of people roping down and s-l-o-w-l-y down-climbing. It was so steep that they were even facing into the slope as the down-climbed.

My brother and I got tired of waiting....

So we leapt off the cornice, jumped the bergschrund, and glissaded past a long line of people who were down-climbing. I even got in a little swivel-hip action and some carved GS turns.

I love it when your boots reach that certain point of wear that makes glissading really easy and fun.

:D GLISSADING RULES!! :D
