I had the same exact problem myself. It happened a few times initially with SP V3. Logging in and out fixed it on my end. Fortunately I haven't had this problem in a while now. :) I did a search which shows that this is your first post since last November. I'm sure many folks had this issue but resolved it by a simple log in and out.

I tried with Firefox and IE.

Thanks.

I have a similar problem. I try to sign in but when I click on sign in it goes to my profile page instead of the sign in page yet I am not signed in and cannot vote on stuff. It is fixed when I clear my cache. Clearing cookies didn't help. It has happened several times now and is easy to get rid of but ideally shouldn't happen at all. There are lots of people out there that don't know about clearing stuff. I should add that it only happens sometimes.

I just posted a gear review on the Salewa Raven Combi GTX mountaineering boot. It posted, but won't let me attach the image. I've uploaded the image, and am cut/pasting the image ID and have triple checked that it's right. However, it won't allow the primary pic, or any pics to be attached into the body of the post. Just letting you know! Thanks!

I can log in and post from my phone, but if I try to log in from my computer it never takes me to the login box. It just takes me straight to my profile page, but I can never log in. On my phone it works fine.

Have you tried clearing your browser cookies? If you willing to go an extra step, clear you cache as well. Somethings have changed since SP V3 which I've cleared my cache and cookies. And if that still doesn't fix your problem could you please provide us with what browser you use? Browser version helps a little too.

Log out first. Then log back in. Everything will be fixed.

Instead of taking you to your profile page, it should take you to a page telling you to log out and log back in.

This issue gets reported more than any other...

I've been trying to use the new "insert video" function and all it does is display the code to the YouTube video I'm trying to post. I've used both the straight URL and the embedded URL and neither works. The "what's new" section doesn't have any details on how this works. Any hints or tips would be much appreciated. :?:

Thanks,

Bob

@reboyles: Link please. When problems occur, they often don't happen on our end. As a result we need a real life example to use our detective skills at finding what causes the issue. 8)

BTW, for inserting video's into pages, insert the embed code (iframe). It's HTML so it doesn't work the same as a forum.

Thanks!

I got it. The frame tip did it. I re-sized the frame to fit my page better and it works great. Here's the code I used.

<iframe width="320" height="180" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ooqHRxHop0Y?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Here's the page I put it on. That's a first for me on SP (adding a video). How cool is that?

Good use of formatting on that page. Glad that worked out for you. :)

I did all of my work in the new editor with the exception of adding new sections. I didn't see how to do that so I switched to the old editor for that function. I always used to struggle with formatting when I mixed text and graphics in the same section but adding tables sure solved that problem. Great improvement guys, I love it.

At one point the page switched into what looked like Dreamweaver with the split screen for editing. I don't know how I did that.

Matt, any idea what this is. Sounds interesting. :) Probably out of the bounds of the editor, but I'd love it if there was a mode to have one side code and the other display. 8)

It used to happen to me all the time, but now it is less than once/month, if even that often. Yeah hard to fix something you cannot recreate.

Why does my Mount Agassiz page say zero votes, when it actually has 30 something?
