Has anybody been to Wheeler pk, Nevada recently that can share what the conditions are? Going to be there May 15

Some folks just went up Bull-o-the-woods and down walker lake. Some snow, but they had no problems.

I don't know about current conditions, but I assume that you know that the road to the trailhead doesn't open until Memorial Day Weekend.

You will have to walk from the lower Leman Creek trailhead before the opening.

yep, I finally got through to the park service. The road is open just to the mather overlook which is only about half-way

No problem.
We did it in March, so had to start at about 7800'. Had the entire place to ourselves, and it's a beautiful hike.

Thanks, splattski, That sounds like you started at upper Lehman CG/TH? I think we're going to do the same thing and see what happens
