The Poet of SP

by Marmaduke » Thu Jun 13, 2013 8:40 am

Which are Larry's words or from others,
Really doesn't matter they are profound
He's our SP poet - no druthers,
What's that...it's Larry's sound

I'm just a vessel ..

a timeless portal, through which hyperspace passes through.

The dregs are transformed into happy notes,

The body is drank by happy blokes,

Seeking the vengeance of Fu-Man...chu.

"Clock strikes twelve and moon-drops burst,
Out at you from their hiding place.
Like acid and oil on a madman's face;
His reason tends to fly away ...
Like lesser birds on the four winds,
Like silver scrapes in May;
And now the sand's become a crust,

Most of you have GONE AWAY ..."

Are we supposed to post odes to Larry here or something? Limericks? Lyrics from bad '80s hair bands?

...nothing really rhymes with dirndl or frauen, I give up.

"Larry had a friend in Nantucket..."
Go climb a mountain

Top THAT, Larry. 8)

Agreed --- can't TOP hanging out with Mom. But reminds me of a Steely Dan tune ...

While we're away Larry and SP carry on.
My Bob dogs and I have been out listening to nature's song.
Marley gave us much to imagine,
trying out a few lyrics borrowed from brother, Dylan.
I wonder, is anything ever completely gone?

Did you know ... "Bob" spelled backwards is still Bob.

Nine planets round the sun
Only one does the sun embrace
Upon this watered one
So much we take for granted
So let us sleep outside tonight
Lay down in our mother's arms
For here we can rest safely

If green should slip to grey
But our hearts still bloody be
And if mountains crumble away
And the river dry
Would it stop the stepping feet

Take all that we can get
When it's done
Nobody left to bury here
Nobody left to dig the holes
And here we can rest safely

One sweet world
Around a star is spinning
One sweet world
And in her breath I'm swimming
And here we will rest in peace

On a lighter note ...

At what age begin to learn of which way out we will turn (?)
There's a long and winding road and the trail is there to burn ..

There's a thin line between love and hate ...
Wider divide that you can see between good and bad.

There's a grey place between black and white ....
But everyone does have the right to choose the path THAT HE TAKES

And an even LIGHTER note ...

I am gripped by what I cannot tell ...

Have I slipped or have I merely fell (?)

I feel gypped, my senses telling lies ...

I've been stiffed by serpent's soundless cries

Up in the hills
An apparition
Filling me

Screams break the silence ...

Waking from the dead of night.

Vengence is boiling;

He's returned to kill the light !
