Simple location sharing Android app

by gbear » Thu Jul 11, 2013 11:53 pm

I want to give you a tip of an Android app that can send your location and a pre-written message automatically to your friends and family in a situation where you are not able to call or write messages.

It's free and can be found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.bjuremo.hereiam.lite

Now why would you want to share your location with your wife/husband/friends if you were out cheating on your spouse anyway?

Sounds like a good way to get both your wife and your girlfriend mad at you. Probably your boss too.

I tried this ap and it loaded a TON of pornography on my phone. My wife wouldn't believe it was the ap and boy is she pissed. And the porn is kinda outdated and poor quality, too. I imagine the pro version loads the HD stuff.

She shouldn't have used it as a vibrator then.

Bah. This potentially life-saving app tells you where all the NRA members are in your neighborhood.
Nunc est bibendum.

Just as a quick FYI, when it comes to these type of apps, if they run on the background they tend to drain your battery big time. Its always a good idea to kill them off completely and launch them when you truly need them.

Nothing sucks more than having a dead phone when you need it most!

In this case it doesn't run in the background for more than a few seconds.

It either runs immediately after you press "send" and then quits, or if you use timer/scheduling it registers with the operating system alarm service and is awakened and run only at the specified interval to do it's intended work.

Other than this it has no processes running whatsoever.

I put this app on my phone and not only did it drain the battery but it destroyed the battery life entirely.

So go ahead and install it if you'd like to spring for the cost of a new phone.

I get that all these offensive "this app will screw your phone" replies is a way of saying "don't advertise here", so please just remove the thread if you are offended.
I just wanted to give a tip of an app that I use regularly.
It's been tested on the Inca Trail, and apart from some lack of phone reception it did the work well to keep family and friends informed.

No one saying your advertising is offensive.

I am just saying that the app advertised here destroys your battery life and will ruin your phone if you are lucky. If your app is running while the phone is plugged in then it can actually overheat the system and create a dangerous ignition source. Since many people's phones are usually plugged in at night (next to their bed btw) it will create a life threatening situation and if not only destroy your home it could lead to fatalities.

Sadly, it sounds as if this app may have already wrecked such havoc. :(

If your choice of death is phone-induced electrocution, get this app.

It could be especially helpful in California, given the ridiculous amount of trolls roaming the state.
But it's true as they say, arguing on internet forums is like competing in special olympics. Even if you win, you are still a retard..
