Good 3 day Hike/Climb in DAKS

by Wendellator » Thu Oct 31, 2013 2:24 pm

I have a map of the Daks high peak region, and was looking for any suggestions for a good 2/3 day hike. We have climbed Mt.Marcy and others, i would like to incorporate some peaks into this but it is not a deal breaker.
Plan on arriving Thurs around noon and leaving Sat afternoon, any suggestions would be appreciated :D

Loop trip? If just in-and-out, go in to Johns Brook and you will have access to a lot of peaks.

I used to recommend loops that involved Avalanche Lake and Colden Lakes, but I don't know the status of the hitch-up-Matildas after Irene.

I would be up for either, Johns brook sounds good, when we were up there last winter there was still alot of dead fall from Irene.
Where would youo park for Johns Brook.
Thanks for the Beta
