Hi

Will be in Laughlin in March for a day or two and was curious if anyone had any good hiking ideas in the area (1hour drive)? I am an intermediate mountain hiker, but will be with daughter, who is novice. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Depending on the weather, you could plump for either the Hualapai Mountains just outside Kingman, AZ (lots of nice trails and summits, picturesque woodlands and granite) or perhaps Spirit Mountain, NV from Christmas Tree Pass (no trail but mostly cairned, about 5-6 miles RT; gorgeous granite spires and desert gardens).
