I've never heard of this organization before and the website raises a few red flags for me. I'd be wary and look into more established organizations such as National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and Outward Bound. You did not mention if you are interested in learning to climb or becoming a guide. If you are simply wanting to learn to climb, there are many guide companies that offer comprehensive mountaineering and alpine climbing courses.

If your intent is to take courses to become a mountain guide, I would take this company's statements with a grain of salt. Talk to a professional mountain guide and get their perspective on the best path. A great person to talk with is Jason Martin, current president of the AMGA, long time guide and program director at American Alpine Institute. There are also colleges that have outdoor/experiential education as core curriculum, such as Prescott College.

In what ways does this website raise red flags? Do you think it is just a scam?
I am interested in taking the 42 day mountaineering course in Patagonia so that I can learn skills to be able to go on my own big adventures, not necessarily guiding certificates right now.
I have looked at other companies like NOLS and Outward Bound but this company seems to be a good deal, along with a scholarship, for the duration.

No, I don't think it is a scam. Some of the statements they make and the verbiage used, particularly pertaining to their mountain guide training school, strikes me as less than credible or professional. They may very well offer a great experience for a reasonable cost, I would just caution to do your homework.

Not sure if that site is legit or not but here is a long list of alternatives. There are quite a few reputable climbing schools in North America.

Damien, Wiktoria has been an SP member for a long time - since she was 12.

Skyline Adventure School in Huaraz, Peru (http://skyline-adventures.com/) also has some good programs. They are closer than Patagonia (cheaper airfare) and have some big mountains to learn on.
