We're a canadian couple planning vacation in WY for hicking and climbing and we were planning on doing a 2 nights trek in Grand Teton NP. The trek starts at Jenny Lake Lodge but ends at Death Canyon trailhead. Therefore, having only one car, we are planning on leaving the car at the trail's end but will need transportation to start location. Any idea on how to get there since there's no shuttle going on Moose Wilson Road (which is where Death Canyon trailhead is located). We heard that a taxi could be 150$ with JacksonHole AllTrans. Any other options ?

That taxi figure sounds much too high... why not call the Chamber of Commerce, get a couple numbers and ask. If you don't have too much gear and are patient, hitchhiking is an option. Depending on the time of day there can be a fair amount of traffic up and down the DC road, as well as on the Moose-Wilson part. Another idea would be to post here, or other mtn websites, your particular travel needs and offer a reasonable sum to anyone interested in some easy money. Just thinking out loud here but that $150 prodded me to reply. Good luck, have a great hike!

One option would be to do it the other way, ending at Jenny Lake. Then you would be hitch-hiking from a very busy area, and would have no trouble finding a ride at least to Moose.

When are you in the area? I'm tooling around from peak to peak a different times during the summer, who knows, I may be able to give you a lift if schedules match.

I might also be able to shuttle you. Folks at the Grand Teton Climbers Ranch might also be able to help. You might call well ahead of time and see if they could put a note on the board for you. Poorer climbers need cash, beer, gas, etc.
