Video: Emigrant Wilderness conditions

Just to give you an idea how things are looking in the Kennedy Lake vicinity.

(I finally did see a mosquito or 200, but not until we were within a mile of the car on the walk out!)

Kennedy Lake?

Looking down at Kennedy Lake with Kennedy Peak and Molo Mountain beyond on 5/25/14 from Leavitt Peak:

There were no mosquitos right near Sonora Pass, nor along the PCT south of there Memorial Day weekend. The hike to Leavitt Peak was pleasant with the aid of trekking poles. Mostly consolidated snowpack meant there was not enough postholing to warrant snowshoes and things weren't slick enough to warrant more than my hightop waterproof shoes. Skiers were still enjoying the lingering snowpack on north facing slopes. The views were great!
