Mt. Harvard from the Colorado Trail

by Point North » Sat Jan 03, 2015 8:28 pm

How long is the route to Mt. Harvard from the Colorado Trail? Later this year I'll do Harvard from the CT, not from a drive-in trailhead.

Any other comments about this route would be appreciated.

The trailhead for the standard route of Mt. Harvard is just up the road, from where the Colorado Trail crosses over 365. So, you're looking at an additional 1.25 miles, if that, to get to the N. Cottonwood Creek trailhead (which is the trailhead you drive to).

There's also a trail labeled, "Harvard Trail" on some Topos, N of the French Creek Drainage, which also crosses the CO Trail, to the North. Takes a ridge on the east side of Mt. Harvard. (never tried it, myself)
