I guess there is a ton of snow? Is it a popular winter snowshoeing trip? We are going to the lake this weekend, plan to spend a night there. Should we expect to brake trail?

Ton of snow? Hardly. 98% sure you won't be breaking trail either. You will probably post-hole quite a bit off the trail wherever you plan to camp though. Should be gorgeous back there!

Assuming you are aware that you will be starting back by Twin Lakes and not from the summer trailhead at Coldwater since the gate closes for the Tamarack xc skiing operation.
