Early Fall: Alpine rock in the Washington Cascades
Late Fall/Early Winter: Ice climbing in Hyalyite Canyon and the Canadian Rockies
Mid Winter: Alpine climbing in Patagonia
Late Winter: Skiing in Japan
Spring: Alpine climbing in Alaska
Early Summer: Alpine climbing in Peru
Mid Summer: Alpine climbing in the BC Coast Range
Late Summer: Alpine climbing in the Canadian Rockies

I have a lot of friends who have climbed in New Zealand. One summed it up thusly: "I traveled half way around the world to climb in Washington State."

Dang Skippy! That section holds more rock and ice than the entire american west and Europe combined! Besides, I love Chinese food!

It was more humor.

My friends Grandma is from western China and speaks no English. We went to their house for a traditional meal and I wasn't thrilled. It was edible, and a couple of things were tasty, but for the most part I'd rather not. All that being said, there's a crap ton of stuff there to climb! It's my top overseas destination.

I'd like doing a year on each of the continents other than Antarctica (still want to go but much briefer) It'd be more multisport adventuring in nature but with plenty of mountains I daydream often about it.

I'd just tag along with Dan... ha!

I'd love to go back to Peru, climb in Antarctica, and see the Himalaya at some point... but other than that... I've been very fortunate...

But it'd be pretty tough to beat a USA road trip, checking off the national parks, baseball stadiums, concerts, food/beer, etc... probably be even more fun for you young single guys... hee hee
