Recommendations for a climb in Asia - 19,000 - 24,000 ft.

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a 'classic' aesthetically pleasing climb in the 19k to 24 altitude in Asia. I was interested in Pumori, but have been to the Khumbu before and would love to go somewhere else. Thanks a lot!

Khan Tengri, Kyrgyzstan or Diran, Pakistan would be my suggestions. The former is frequently climbed. The latter receives few climbers but is probably Pakistan's second easiest 7000er after Spantik. The classic route starts from the Minapin glacier and isn't overly technical. Lee

Hey Robin,
It's Tauru -- MG's friend, met you on Ama Dablam and Denali -- I'm thinking of Gasherbrum I and II for summer 2007 with steve and crazyblindchic. 8000m peaks -- interested? ooh-ahh!! :-)

You can try Everest Camp III (Advanced Base Camp) on the Tibet side. This goes to 21,000 feet. Something like this:
