Summit quiz #02 - answer Daniel

by Lukas Kunze » Sun Jul 13, 2008 9:53 am

Here is another summit quiz. A bit more difficult than the previous one. Therefore a little hint:
The photo has been taken on the way to the highest mountain of its group. Which mountain is it?

Yes, late in October, after the first heavy snow fall - so there is a similar snow line like on your picture.

The pic was taken in Austria though Wettersteingebirge is between both Austria and Bayern (Germany)

Yes you are right - and the solution is in the titlte of this thread in the forum list. It was given too early in case you still wanted to guess.

Very easy for Germans because the searched mountain is the highest in Germany: Zugspitze.

The picture was taken on the southside of the mountain, which is situated in Austria though.

Everybody who drives to Austria from the Stuttgart area knows this view, because driving over "Fernpass" you will look at the mountain from that side ...

The town inside "black dot valley" is called Ehrwald. Maybe we should ask for renaming it into "black dot town"?
