A couple of friends summited the highest of the Cloudcrofts from Dunwoody Basin.

Cool. Would that be the northernmost one, that's shown on topos as 8710? It looks like there's three peaks along the ridge to the northeast of Mount Doody, I can't figure out which ones are considered the "Cloudcroft Peaks".

It is indeed a serrated ridge with numerous summits. The highest peak is the 8710 summit.

Cool. That's interesting. The two between Doody and 8710 seem like the hardest ones to climb.

I have no personal knowledge of the routes on the Cloudcrofts. But the friends I mentioned previously did try to traverse from Doody. They ended up doing numerous rappels down a narrow couloir in approaching darkness. They passed at least one, possibly both of the summits you mention but did not reach the 8710 peak. After spending another night in Dunwoody Basin they climbed the 8710 Peak.
