Torngats in Winter

by MScholes » Fri Nov 06, 2009 12:36 am

Any recorded forays into the range in Winter? Can't find much at all regarding this beautiful range in northern Quebec.

Planning on a lovely sufferfest in late February/early March for the adventure. Can't seem to find anything about people actually climbing around in the range during the winter months.

Don't know much about winter trips, but would think they would be pretty brutal. For general info, and a lot of it, see Papa Bears Torngat Mountains Website: http://www.stuyvesantcove.org/Torngats/Torngats_Main.shtml. Was thinking about going myself, but being such a remote location, the costs just to get there are pretty prohibitive.
