Training and Nutrition Guide for Mt. Whitney

Your training prep seemed right on the money but when it came to nutrition your techniques are outdated. Carb loading is a horrible idea.

When I went up and back in four and a half hours my diet consisted of beer and cigarettes. I even smoked a cigarette at the top, I was living off of McDs at the time so I am not to sure about nutrition. I think that when you are fit your body is use to getting trashed so it evolves for you to be able to cope.

My theory about training for speed climbing these hiking trails is to train and compete in mountainous endurance events and then just take the race and training to the Mountain,
