Once again sad news out of the Cordillera Blanca in Peru. US mountain guide Tyler Anderson was on a Mountain Madness guiding trip on Yanapaqcha

The article is in Spanish, but it appears that he fell in a deep crevasse due to a collapsed snow bridge.

I had the pleasure of trekking in Peru with Tyler for two weeks in Peru a couple of summers ago. He was truly a great guy. My sincere condolences to his family.

Tyler ws a friend of mine and I will miss him greatly. He was living life on his own terms and was very happy in his adopted home away from home, Huaraz.
His friends there in Huaraz , are putting together a memorial CD of pictures and anecdotes about Tyler.
Any of you who knew him, climbed with him, or were on a trip where he was your guide, and you have something you want to contribute, please send it to:

Zarelaz@hotmail.com or zazuperu@gmail.com

Just put Tyler CD in the subject line. Thanks very much.
