Morocco/Southeast of Toubkal

I'm going to be traveling in Morocco in late April and may get a free day in the vicinity of Agouim (on the Marrakesh-Ouarzazate road just south of Tizi n Tichka). On maps and aerial photos it looks feasible to make a fast ascent up the south side of Taska n-Zat from area of Sour and Souk El-Had Tidili, which are on that little road (paved, I think) that runs west from Agouim and goes through the valley just south of Toubkal Nat'l Park. It even looks like something that a fit person could do in a long day.

But info is sooooo hard to come by ... as far as I can tell, there's basically nothing out there about southern approaches to the main high Atlas ridge. Des Clark's books are certainly not much help in this area. Does anyone know that road or have any experience with getting up the south side of the range? And is it reasonable to leave a rental car unattended in that area while you disappear for a day?

Thanks, not a bad idea. I was gone by the time you suggested it. Anyway, I did find a way onto the Atlas crest from that road in the vicinity of Adrar n-Dern. Quite rewarding, but apparently not done much by anyone other than the Berber herdsmen. Somebody with more time than I had could have a great time poking around that area.
