I'm planning on staying at the Vihren Hut in the Pirin Mountains next week. I can't find much info on the web on the hut other than it is quite big. Anybody know whether it is open year round, where they provide food or have a kitchen to use, and roughly what the costs are like? Difficult to know what to pack for the trip, thanks.

Sorry I saw that kind of late.
There is no warden at Vihren hut in winter and the road is not cleaned up above Shiligarnika.
So you need to walk about an hour. There is Bunderitza hut about half an hour below Vihren but I think it's not much better there either.

btw there is tons of new snow right now

Hello, how can we book a night in a Vihren hut
over the internet or Viber?
Thanks in advance!
