First time writing here. I am looking for information regarding trekking in the Tatra's in the beginning of Octber (first week). in addition, any recommended routes? was thinking about crossing from the polish side to the Slovak side.

Please be more precise. What type of info do you need?
In October there should be no problem with sleeping in the mountain huts.
The most interesting therefor the most difficult marked path in Poland is Orla Perć. It might be icy in October.
