Hi,

Do you know the current conditions for the Low Tatras?

We're heading there today (Donovaly->Certovica hiking in 3-5 days)

I've checked laviny.sk.

Any other current info you might have? How is the snow below the ridge?

ty
Michael

I was in High Tatras last weekend /Ladovy Stit area/ and there was a plenty of snow. There was snowing all the time, knee-deep even at Hrebieniok.

To the Polish eye the second half of the name (kaloszek) reads like "a little <a href="http://www.summitpost.org/album/311671/Walking-in-Wellies.html">welly</a>" :)

Well, from now on there will be an unwritten tradition that Polish are only allowed to hike up this mountain in wellies... Shall I mention it in the "Red Tape" section?

Ref: wellies

Sure, Peter, just remember to state that <a href="http://www.summitpost.org/image/498278/456457/the-elves-didn-t-do-it.html">those who did a three-month service in wellies</a> under the old red rule will be exempt from this new welly rule :)

PS I meant "to the eye" rather than "ear" - forgot the Magyar pronunciation/spelling gap :(

Nice to see the birth of a new wave of High Tatra pages :)
I'll refresh the image map of the area page as soon as possible.
