No: it is "Sunrise on the Schreckhorn, taken from Wetterhorn. Photo by Monica Spicker, 7 Aug 1977"

Ain't there nobody besides me, who's up for Grand Combin? Massive, remote and wild mountain, big drop to either valleys, a lot of ice, 4 summits, ...

Agree, and to those two I would add A. Verte and Grand Jorasses: A good selection of four differently shaped mountains, all equally impressive IMO.

Of course, you could argue for any one of those peaks; i have a great coffee table book showing ALL the Euro. 4000m, and there's not an ugly peak in the bunch)

God, I just hope I get to climb 1 or 2 of them someday; some of the people here have been lucky enough to climb many. Any SP'ers climb them all?

Mont Blanc & Grandes Jorasses
very low rated here maybe because very little known ... I think that too many people think Mont Blanc only along the normal French route ... :o
they're much more engaging than all other summits

There is no getting around Matterhorn (seen from Zermatt, of course), even if it is what any tourist to the Alps would say!

Good point about the Grand Combin. It's more than a 4000m peak it's over 14,000ft and its away from Zermatt and Chamonix
