From Rifugio Torino to Punta Helbronner in summer
Posted: Tue Jan 14, 2014 5:20 pmI wish to cross from Courmayeur to Chamonix in July 2014 but this cannot be done entirely on the cable car system as the connection between Rifugio Torino and Punta Helbronner is being rebuilt and not available until 2015. How easy would it be for a small group of hikers with proper boots on to cross from one point to the other and then get on the cable car to Chamonix? The cable car operators tell me this is a glacial environment but I am unsure if this is feasible (in good weather, obviously). All comments welcome. Thanks.
