We've got about 14" here in the Fort and it's still coming down. My trees are groaning under the weight, but no breakage yet.

We're buried. Some trees still have leaves. Not lookin' good for them. I'm staying at home away from work during this miserable storm. I'm working on a TR for SP, dreaming of a warmer, drier time just a week ago in Utah.

I saw a few flakes coming down in central Arizona, and it never got above freezing in Flagstaff.

I had to switch from a windbreaker to a full-blown winter coat !!!

In Divide (~20 miles west of the Springs), we had about 6" when I left at 3:00. The springs had nothing except wet roads when I got here.

Two feet at 7500' in Evergreen and still coming down. I'm marooned!

Starting to snow hard here in the Black Hills

16 inches in Boulder, snowing heavy right now. School was canceled today and will most likely be canceled tomorrow. Epic snowball fights took place today.

Craig got less than two inches and it didn't last that long (there is only a little left).

Just to the south, the area just north of Meeker all the way down to Rifle on I-70 got pounded. I had to travel to the Meeker area for work. Just south of Meeker they probably got a foot.

It sounds like the same story in other areas of the state and was similarly spotty. The Front Range got pounded, but many of the mountain areas were missed. Keep this in mind before breaking out the skis.

That same cold front kept it in the 50s with wind here all day. Not a trace of precipitation. Typical. Thursday is supposed to be PC and 60F, about 15F below average.

Got a buddy that is supposed to fly DEN-LAS today (Thursday), early afternoon. How are things looking for that? The forecast shows cold misery in the Denver area through at least the first half of the day, with another 3 to 6 inches coming. That's not enough to interfere much with DEN, right?

Hmmm...I'm in metro NYC today for business and bummed that I'm missing this snow storm! AGH!

Here? It's overcast and drizzly and the people are mean. I'm sad I'm not home in Colorado.

There's a DIA update on the FP of the Denver Post today with the following message:

A Ground Delay Program has been issued affecting flights arriving between 29/06:07 and 29/23:59 due to WEATHER / SNOW-ICE. Flights are being delayed an average of 254.0 minutes. This airport has been deicing aircraft since 29/06:00.

So, no, no problems at all unless one considers a wait of almost 6 hours an issue.

He told me that many flights were cancelled. His flight was not, and it got here on time somehow.

Not relevant to the discussion, but 254.0 minutes is 4 hr 14 min.

We have received close to the 36" up here at the Glacier, now the wind has started, oh for joy!

We ended up with right at 2 feet.
